We are glad to inform you that the next edition of Council's FABRIC GUIDE containing the latest synthetic, rayon and blended fabric samples of Indian manufacturers/exporters will be published shortly. As you are aware, the Guide has established itself as a sought-after reference guide among overseas buyers. Many importers refer to Fabric Guide regularly while making their purchasing decisions.

The Guide is also extensively used by the Indian missions abroad as an authoritative Product Catalogue. The delegations/teams sponsored by the Council take the Fabric Guide during their trips abroad. Copies of the Guide are also distributed during International Fairs and Exhibitions. In view of the above, the fabrics displayed in the Fabric Guide get world-wide exposure and have been instrumental in generating trade enquiries and orders for many of our exporters. Hence, we hope that you will not miss this unique opportunity to publicise your fabrics through the Fabric Guide and increase your exports. The members are to take careful note of the following and send the samples and payment as per the details given below :

• The members may send their latest synthetic, rayon and blended fabrics including suitings, shirtings, dress materials, furnishing fabrics, velvet, grey fabrics, interlining, etc. for inclusion in Fabric Guide.

• The fabric samples in the Fabric Guide will be displayed company-wise. Thus all the items of one company will be displayed together.

• Each company will be given one page in the Fabric Guide (Minimum) to display fabrics. On each page the company will be given freedom to display fabrics in any of the following three formats :

Format A : 4 swatches of 7 cms x 7 cms or

Format B : 2 swatches of 15 cms x 6 cms or

Format C : 1 swatch of 20 cms x 15 cms

• Each company is free to take more than one page in Fabric Guide. The minimum is one page.

• Charges for inclusion of samples in Fabric Guide is Rs.2000/- per page.

• On each page details of fabrics displayed and the complete address of the respective company will be printed for easy reference.

• The members will have to supply the required fabrics free of charge. The cutting and pasting of swatches will be done by the Council. Members are also free to send cut fabric swatches as per the required size. (550 swatches of each sample)

• The requirement of fabrics as per the various formats are as follows :

Format A (7 cms x 7 cms) = 6 metres of each sample

Format B (15 cms x 6 cms) = 9 metres of each sample

Format C (20 cms x 15 cms) = 20 metres of each sample

The companies will be listed in the Fabric Guide on First-Come-First-Served basis. Hence send your samples with the details and appropriate payment as per the proforma attached at the earliest. The samples to be included in the Fabric Guide are to reach the Head Office of the Council immediately.
