Sub: Adoption of Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) notified by Government of India on18th September, 2015
Dear Sir,
The Council has received a communication from Dr. P.G.S Rao, Joint Director (SME), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) informing the Council that the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has notified the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM), a simplified one-page online registration form for MSMEs, in order to promote ease of doing business for MSMEs.
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has notified the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) under the MSMED Act, 2006 vide gazette notification [SO No. 2576(E)] dated 18-09-2015. A copy of Gazette Notification is enclosed for reference. This Ministry has requested the State/UT governments to take necessary action for immediate implementation of UAM vide Circular No.5(2)/3/2015-MSME Pol. Dated 15th October, 2015 and Notice No. A-54/1/2014-CDN dated 18th October, 2015.
Please note that the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) replaces the filing of Entrepreneur’s Memorandum Part I & II. The filing of Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) can be done on http://udyogaadhaar.gov.in. The salient features of Udyog Aadhaar are:

4. It is informed that the UAM post 18-09-2015 be treated at par with SSI Registration Certificate issued prior to 04-04-2007 and the Entrepreneur's Memorandum Part-II filled under the MSMED Act, 2006. The SSI Registration Certificates and EM-II have now ceased to be issued after the notification for UAM. Accordingly, it is requested to accept the UAM at par with SSI Registration Certificate / EM-II.
