Sub : Survey on “Free Trade Agreements”
Dear Member,
As you are aware, FICCI has been conducting various Surveys in the past which help facilitate policy formulation at the national and sub-national levels through consultative mechanisms. We are glad to inform you that FICCI will now be conducting a Survey on “Free Trade Agreements”.
You may be aware, that in the recent years various region-wide economic integration efforts have shown considerable progress. The conclusion of mega-regional trade pact Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and significant breakthrough in Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) negotiation is likely to bring major changes in the global economic architecture. However, so far there has not been any convergence of opinions or views on the “impact” of such trade agreements on the Indian business and economy; nor there has been any evidence-based analysis on this area.
In view of above, JETRO and Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) are conducting a survey on the utilization of “Optimal Regional FTA Formation” in East Asia. You are requested to please access the questionnaire from the link http://www.jcci.or.jp/questionnaire-for-optimal-regional-fta-formation-in-east-asia.html and input information directly to FICCI with a copy to the Council at the earliest. Your participation in the questionnaire will assist in identifying issues faced in utilizing the East Asia regional FTAs and providing recommendations to the Governments in order to make these agreements user-friendly.
