Sub: TBT Notifications for Textiles & Garments – regarding
Dear Member,
The Council has received a communication from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India regarding Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) notification issued by United States of America during 28 November 2022 to 4 December 2022. The notification pertains to the products viz., Corded Window Coverings and Window covering cords in which India commands a share of about 54% of the total import of these products by USA. The details of the TBT Notification issued by the USA is enclosed for your perusal and reference.
The Ministry requests for inputs from the Council regarding the above-mentioned TBT issued by the USA.
Hence, the member-exporters of the Council are requested to peruse the attached TBT notifications and provide their feedback if any to the Council by email to ed@srtepc.in and baruah@srtepc.in by 16th January, 2023 so that the same may be taken up with the concerned authority for addressing suitably.
