Sub: TBT Notifications on Textiles and Garments
Dear Sir/ Madam,
Australia has issued a Consumer Goods (Care labelling) Information Standard 2023 that covers Clothing and Textile products like Yarns, Home Textiles and Garments.
Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India have sought comments from the Council on this issue. A copy of the Australian Consumer Goods (Care labelling) Information Standard 2023 along with the WTO Notification is enclosed (Click to open) herewith for ready reference.
We would request the Members to please send us your valuable views/suggestions on the matter on the email ID chetna@srtepc.in and baruah@srtepc.in on or before 10th November 2023 so as to help us send a consolidated reply to the Ministry.
