Sub: Invitation to Participate in Session on Technical Textiles Park at Dharashiv District, Maharashtra – February 16th, 2024 at 10:00AM onwards
Dear Member,
The Maharashtra Government has identified Dharashiv as the next hub for Technical Textiles. In this regard, the Maharashtra Institution for Transformation (MITRA) and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) is organizing a Site Visit & Roundtable Discussions for the upcoming Technical Textiles Park at Dharashiv District, Maharashtra on the February 16th, 2024.
About Dharashiv Technical Textiles Park
The state government has identified Dharashiv as the next hub for Technical Textiles in Maharashtra. Dharashiv not only enjoys the maximum benefits under the state's new textile and industrial policy, but the location also enjoys proximity to several textile clusters and existing investors. Dharashiv is well connected through roadways and NH 52 connects the cotton producing districts of Dhule, Jalgaon, Aurangabad to the site. The site is also well connected to Mumbai Port through railways with a planned siding which will reach the park itself. The upcoming Multi Modal Logistics Parks at Pune, Nashik will enhance the logistics flow in the state, strengthening the overall supply chain in the state. In addition, MIDC will also facilitate and provide discounted rates of power, water rate, and other utilities to create a world class textiles ecosystem.
About the Event
The event will be attended by Ms. Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, Mr. Praveen Pardeshi, CEO, MITRA, Dr. Vipin Sharma, CEO of MIDC, Mr. Virendra Singh, Secretary (Textiles), Government of Maharashtra, Dr. Deependra Kushwah, Development Commissioner, Government of Maharashtra and Dr. Sachin Ombase, Collector Dharashiv District. There will also be Round Table Discussions on the Proposed Technical Textiles Park at Dharashiv District, Maharashtra.
